Mechanical Site Foreman - Schools project - Hourly rate

Your new company
Your new employer provides Energy Efficiency Upgrade Solutions to residential and commercial retrofit properties and homes in Leinster and the Southeast. This is a fast-growing sector, and we are seeking an experienced and confident Site Foreman to join the Dublin team in our Rathcoole office.

Your new role
In your new position, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of onsite operations and productivity, including company operatives, subcontractors, and all personnel on-site for the project in Dublin. This is a fast-paced environment, and the person will play a vital part in the smooth-running of our business.
Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Works to include heat recovery ventilation system, 2 classrooms in single storey school.
  • Managing all on site construction activities.
  • Day-to-day management responsibility of onsite operations, including company Operatives, sub-contractors and all personnel on site.
  • Implementing all quality and safety procedures and ensuring that all personnel and subcontractors comply with these procedures.
  • Maintenance of accurate documentation on site including full management of the H&S file.
  • Manage workflow of sub-contractors ensuring alignment with the programme of works on site.
  • Assist the Project team in monitoring progress to meet agreed targets.
  • Ensure works are delivered to the highest possible quality standards.
  • Ensure all documentation is in place to allow works to proceed.

What you need to succeed
  • 5 + years’ experience as a Site Manager on similar commercial/residential project.
  • Knowledge of modern construction techniques with a strong eye for detail.
  • Working knowledge of the latest building regulations and certification standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency with desktops, PCs, mobiles and networking, specifically Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel) G-suite, ZOHO and industry-specific software.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors to ensure the project is finished on time and within budget.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Trade background is highly beneficial or relevant degree level education.
  • Always ensuring health and safety is always paramount.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and dedicated.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Full, clean driving licence
