Public Sector - Hybrid model at a senior level partnering across multiple Department Heads - Contract Position

Work with a large Public Sector organisation that will offer a dynamic fulfilling position as it embarks on some major capital projects across Ireland. This is a hybrid position working 2 days in the office and 3 days at home (you can work more days in the office if you wish).
Your new role
A great position that connects you all the way across the business, asset management, planning, supply chain, financial, projects, capex, opex, financial reporting, new projects such as Sustainability.
Very much a strategic position and not a m/e role. The business has a Strategic business plans which get reviewed annually, this position is involved in higher level reporting across many of the business heads. Its not just pure financials (note this is not a Month End Job). You will be involved in hot topics such as Sustainability, so you work with finance and non financial personnel.
Working in a very supportive team of 4 wherein you will work independently with the back up of an experienced team. I get the sense that this a great team to work with.
You get to know the business very well with high level exposure.
The main focus of the role is to facilitate the delivery of high-quality management, statutory and regulatory financial information to executive/senior management, shareholders and key external stakeholders in accordance with best-practice internal controls and governance requirements.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have 6 - 8 years’ experience working at a senior level. A "Get up and Go" attitude is needed to make this a success.
Experience in some but not all of the following would be desirable:
- Developing and maintaining both complex financial models and corporate performance models.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen
- Previous experience with initiating and maintaining strategic relationships both internally and externally, using strong influencing skills to achieve business goals
- Proven track record with dealing with complex issues
- Forecasting & Budgeting
- Strong Excel
You must be a qualified accountant, ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CPA with strong communication skills as you will develop relationships across the business in a role that will require you to engage and influence stakeholders
What you'll get in return
