Your new role
Your new company is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your responsibilities
- Develop strong partnerships with the team, providing advice, coaching and support to managers and employees at a range of levels.
- Own and implement an HR strategy that drives employee engagement and retention and supports the delivery of the overall business strategy.
- Advise and coach managers on HR and employment-related policies and best practice and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with the General Manager and site leaders to support formal employee relations issues and processes.
- Provide recruiting support during requisition creation, applicant screening, interviews, offer creation and new hire onboarding.
- Manage and maintain HR functionality in the employee HRIS system, Workday.
- Identify improvement opportunities across the employee lifecycle. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring legislative requirements are met.
- Support workforce planning processes including talent and succession planning and associated development activity. Contribute to the development plans of the site to ensure that the business has the workforce skills required to fulfil current and future needs.
- Partner with the General Manager and corporate HR to facilitate annual performance reviews and manage merit increase processes.
- Build partnerships with training institutions in establishing training and development programs and availing of any applicable state support.
- Partner with the corporate Compensation & Benefits team to support local implementation of global programs, as well as maintain the local site benefits package.
- Take ownership of the successful delivery and implementation of ‘business as usual’ activities. Lead projects that may have a global impact, or participate in a significant project representing either HR or their business unit.
- Quickly and effectively build collaborative working relationships with business leaders and with the other members of the wider HR team.
- Support effective formal and informal management communications across the site in line with site practices.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree or equivalent in the field of HR, Business, Communication or a relevant field.
5+ years of HR or relevant experience, obtained in a matrix environment, is preferred but not essential.
Proven experience of advising and influencing Management in both business and people-related decisions.
Proven specific capabilities in: outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; analytical and problem-solving skills; organisational ability.
Proven ability to build relationships, showcasing influencing skills and presentation skills.
Proven ability to understand and advise on complex organisational issues and people strategy.
