Your new company

A nationwide retailer is looking for a HR People & Talent Generalist to join their team! The post holder will be r esponsible for the delivery and implementation of a range of generalist HR services and the provision of advice and guidance on HR, People and Talent issues to management and staff, in order to support of the Business in the achievement of its business objectives. You are a “go –to “person with large reserves of energy and optimism.

Your new role

  • Management of HR queries
  • Manage pre-boarding onboarding & off boarding process for all employees. Provide excellent candidate experience.
  • HR policy & procedures management.
  • Monitor HR systems.
  • Management of recruitment lifecycle. End-to-end recruitment and selection process in line with business needs
  • Participate in HR Projects in line with the people strategy.
  • Support managers with investigations, and other employee relations matters (disciplinarily, grievances, PIPS)
  • Dealing with relocations (Inc critical skills)
  • Working closely with our training team.
  • Creating and developing talent pools.
  • Remaining current in HR knowledge.
  • Costing and Developing innovative benefits suggestions.
  • Ensure the companies policies are up-to-date in accordance with any amendments to the law
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of employment
  • Promote a culture of trust and transparency that invites the employee to confide in the HR Team
  • Support and assist the management team across the full HR spectrum, providing them with tools and guidance
  • Responsible for co-ordinating the new starter process including pre-boarding and on-boarding, as well as developing and updating the induction process
  • Ensure HR employee and time and attendance related systems and files are accurately maintained
  • Developing and updating HR policies and procedures as necessary, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory legislation and industry best practice
  • Provide support and guidance to management team with HR queries and employee relations issues, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance, performance and probationary management
  • Support, assist and generate various weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports, as well as liaising with Payroll team on a regular basis
  • Provide support for L&D, Engagement and HR project-based activities as required to support the business
  • Continuously improve HR service delivery, identify and recommend opportunities for improvement


What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent knowledge of Irish employment law
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office) including HR database experience
  • Experience of facilitating disciplinary hearings and individual grievances
  • Experience of delivering presentations to groups
  • HRIS experience
  • Talent management process experience
  • Proven track record of project managing HR initiatives to completion
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Professional presentation and written skills
  • Ability to self-start and work independently on own initiative as required
  • Collaborative Supportive with a track record of mentoring others
  • Full clean driving licence
