Your new company is a hospital based in South Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone coming from a government body or hospitia/healthcare background. The role is fully office - based and is 35 hours per week.
The successful candidate will partner closely with the Director of Human Resources to deliver a high-quality, proactive HR service that supports both the organisation and its employees. Acting as a trusted advisor to managers, they will provide expert guidance on HR best practice, employment policies and people-related matters, ensuring a consistent and compliant approach across the business. The role will play a key part in driving strategic and operational HR initiatives, including recruitment and retention, employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, HR reporting and data analytics. The post holder will also contribute to a range of HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the organisation’s people strategy and fostering a positive employee experience.Your new role
- Partner with the Director of HR to support the delivery of the organisation's people strategy and HR objectives.
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, absence management and workforce planning.
- Lead and support recruitment, retention, onboarding and talent management initiatives across the organisation.
- Manage and develop HR team members, ensuring high standards of service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Oversee HR policies, procedures and employment law compliance, ensuring consistent application across the business.
- Act as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and workplace investigations.
- Maintain and analyse HR metrics, delivering reports and insights to support workforce and business decision-making.
- Support organisational change initiatives, workforce planning and service improvement projects.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the best HR practice and positive employee engagement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, programmes and strategic initiatives.
- Deputise to the Director of Human Resources as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior HR role managing a team with responsibility for both operational and strategic HR activities.
- Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, workforce planning and HR advisory services.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience analysing HR data and using insights to support decision-making.
- CIPD-qualified or equivalent third-level qualification in Human Resource Management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven HR experience within healthcare, social care or other regulated environments, with a strong track record in employee relations, absence management, performance management, policy implementation and providing trusted HR advice to managers and employees.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience interpreting HR data and workforce metrics to identify trends, support strategic workforce planning and drive informed decision-making.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of €65,000 - €78,000 in line with the Grade VII for the position. You will work 35 hours per week. You will be available to park on-site. You will work with an excellent, highly collaborative team and gain a wealth of experience.
