Financial Accountant job - Irish Medical Device Manufacturer - County Clare - Excellent Benefits/Progression

Your new role

Your new role will report to the Financial Controller as a vital cog in the finance function. You will gain exposure to the 'bread and butter' elements of day-to-day accounting including maintaining the AP/AR ledgers, producing month-end management accounts, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations etc. as well as playing a central role in co-ordinating the external audit process, filing annual statutory and tax returns etc. The role is broad and you will also gain huge exposure to cost and manufacturing accounting, a highly valuable skill in today's market.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be a fully qualified accountant with a professionally recognised accreditation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA). The role would ideally suit someone coming straight from practice for their first role in industry or an experienced Financial Accountant who would like to gain experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent attention to detail are essential for this role as is an ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment within the industry. The role would suit someone who demonstrates a commercial approach to accounting as much of the role is hands-on in dealing with products, manufacturing and commercialisation.
