Your new company
Your new company is a family-owned organisation founded in County Limerick over 30 years ago and, ever since, has experienced steady and continued growth. The company has developed a strong reputation for the delivery of complex mechanical engineering projects for the pharmaceutical, oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation and food processing sectors. The company boasts a strong presence across the country in these industries and is the resident metal manufacturing partner for some of the biggest MNC manufacturing producers in the region and the country. The company is extremely ambitious and see the hiring of a Financial Controller as crucial in the next stages of their development.
Your new role
You will be the lead finance employee in the company and will lead the finance department as well as act as an advisor/business partner to the senior management across the business. You will work very closely with the Directors, helping shape the strategic direction of the company from a finance perspective. You will also have full ownership and responsibility of the accounting operations, including producing month-end management accounts, year-end statutory reporting, timely financial analysis, taking a lead on efficiency projects and helping institute new business processes including cost management and control procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a fully qualified accountant holding a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA). You will preferably have at least 5–10 years post-qualified experience with a background in a hands-on role in a manufacturing business or similar (construction industry). In particular, experience in contract costing within the construction/manufacturing industry is a major advantage. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in addition to commercial acumen and an ability to influence key decision makers within the business.
What you'll get in return
You will receive an excellent base salary package of €75,000 (the company are willing to be flexible for the right candidate). There is a company pension and bonus scheme available after probation for the candidate also. In addition, you will also get free car servicing and mechanical repairs as a perk. Overall, you will get the opportunity to grow your career with an expanding local company and be at the spearhead of a number of exciting projects. Progression to a more senior role is certainly available to successful people within the business.
