Finance Manager/Controller - Meath - Hybrid - €85,000

Your new company

You will join an Irish-owned FMCG company. The company have recently rebranded and are looking to expand into new markets and grow the business even further. Over the next 3/4 years, they are looking to double their revenue. They are on an exciting journey, and they are now looking for a Senior Finance professional with experience in retail or FMCG to join the team to manage finance and help the company grow.

Your new role

This role will be the only person in the finance team managing the full function. It will be a senior role in the management team and they are flexible on title. This role will play a crucial role in providing accurate financial information, analysing data, and supporting decision-making processes within the organisation. Reporting to the CEO, this is a hands-on role, managing all aspects of the finance function. Duties include:
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis - preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements, variance and KPI analysis
  • Budgeting & Forecasting - Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts, review actuals vs budget and identify differences
  • Monthly Management Accounts - Prepare and analyse and provide recommendations to management
  • Cost Analysis and Control - Analysis product costs and monitor inventory levels.
  • Payroll - Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, and benefits.
  • VAT & Tax Compliance - Prepare and Submit VAT return and Assist in tax planning
  • Financial Systems - Continuous improvement of systems
  • Reconciliation's - Bank and Balance sheet recs and investigate any discrepancies.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in the Retail/FMCG industry is a must-have.
  • Must have knowledge of stock, imports/exports, postponed accounting
  • You will have strong technical knowledge as well as commercial acumen.
  • Ideally, you will work in an SME with all aspects of finance and be able to work autonomously.
  • You will be outgoing, positive and personable - as it is an SME, personality fit is extremely important.
  • Must be based in Ireland with full working rights - no sponsorship will be provided.
