Your New Role
This position will be based at one of our client’s Dublin sites. Reporting directly to the on-site Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will play a vital role within the on-site FM team, supporting the delivery of high-quality day-to-day maintenance services in line with agreed service standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of building and mechanical maintenance tasks, including but not limited to the following:
- Carrying out daily building fabric, mechanical, and general services maintenance safely and efficiently as part of the FM team
- Keeping the Client Facilities Manager informed of maintenance issues, defects, and remedial works
- Maintaining mechanical systems and general building fabric, while advising on required repairs and preventative maintenance
- Supporting the setup and breakdown of event spaces, meeting rooms, and conference areas in line with business needs
- Ensuring adequate spare parts and materials are available to complete reactive and minor planned works
- Assisting with the supervision and coordination of contractors on both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance checks on building services and mechanical/HVAC plant
- Completing mechanical and building fabric planned preventive maintenance (PPM), repairs, and small installations
- Assisting with the delivery of minor mechanical and building-related projects
- Supporting the wider FM team with related services such as electrical or AV works when required
- Identifying, escalating, and resolving maintenance or life-safety concerns in agreement with client management
- Ensuring full compliance with client policies, procedures, and site protocols
- Liaising with and supporting the client’s sustainability and Environmental Health & Safety functions
- Assisting with utility monitoring and supporting energy efficiency and reduction initiatives
- Carrying out pre-event inspections and mechanical/HVAC system checks
- Supporting and contributing to new initiatives introduced on site
- Responding promptly to helpdesk requests and reactive maintenance tasks raised by client staff
- Maintaining a professional and courteous approach when dealing with client representatives, colleagues, and contractors
- Participating in event-day support and out-of-hours on-call cover on a rotational basis
- Acting as first responder for troubleshooting mechanical services and building fabric issues
What You Will Need to Succeed
- A minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or a similar technical environment
- A recognised mechanical trade qualification (HVAC, mechanical fitter, or equivalent)
- Valid Safe Pass and manual handling certification
- Full driving licence with own transport and tools
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
- A proactive, reliable, and self-motivated approach with a strong work ethic
- Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and contractors
- Good IT skills, with experience of CMMS and BMS systems are desirable.
- The ability to adapt quickly, learn new systems, and manage tasks autonomously
