Your new role
As the Warehouse & Facility Manager, you will be a key member of the management team, responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehousing and logistics operations. You will ensure that customer and business needs are met through efficient supply chain strategies and high-quality product processing and dispatch. This role also includes facility management responsibilities for the Cork site and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support groupwide operational initiatives.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
- Provide leadership, motivation, and guidance to warehouse and logistics teams; develop operations strategy to meet targets.
 - Delegate effectively, set expectations, assign responsibility, and ensure accountability.
 - Develop KPIs and reporting structures; collaborate with Operations Managers to drive improvements.
 - Build a strong performance culture through engagement, talent development, and leadership.
 - Provide training, guidance, and feedback; foster a positive, safe working environment.
 
Operational Efficiency
- Ensure high-quality, safe, cost-effective product processing.
 - Apply continuous improvement principles across warehouse operations.
 - Implement policies, procedures, and standards aligned with best practice.
 - Oversee housekeeping, material allocation, goods receipting, and shipping.
 - Set and drive inbound/outbound KPI targets.
 - Use Inventory Control System for traceability and variance investigation.
 - Monitor returns and outbound freight compliance.
 - Manage assembly, logistics, and mobility support team to meet targets.
 - Collaborate cross-functionally to optimise stock control and capacity planning.
 - Streamline warehouse layout and order fulfilment processes.
 
Facility Management
- Manage Cork site facilities, supplier contracts, and maintenance schedules.
 - Maintain equipment database and emergency/keyholder protocols.
 
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure safety standards and Good Distribution Practices.
 - Adhere to medicinal license and cold chain processes.
 - Maintain product quality and implement error-reduction measures.
 - Collaborate on quality issues and ensure MDR compliance through accurate labelling and record-keeping.
 
Logistics & Shipping
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and delivery schedules.
 - Support freight and customs management; ensure regulatory compliance and smooth communication.
 
Environmental, Safety & Compliance
- Drive sustainability goals (carbon reduction, waste, supplier management).
 - Ensure health, safety, and security standards.
 - Comply with IT security and H&S policies; support safety training.
 
Cost & Technology Management
- Monitor operational costs and identify savings
 - Implement and use warehouse management systems (WMS)
 
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
 - Previous warehouse management experience essential
 - Previous exposure to medical device regulation is an advantage.
 - Proficiency in SAP advantageous
 - High motivation, flexibility, and the ability to work on your own initiative
 - Strong organisational and self-management skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks within a busy environment and to specific timeframes
 
- Excellent time management skills, with strong administrative skills incorporating planning and organisational skills.
 - Good communicative skills.
 - A proven track record of operational success at management level.
