Your New Role
Our client is seeking experienced and reliable Handyman Engineers to join their growing maintenance team covering client sites across the Midlands and South Dublin. This is a mobile role where you'll be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks across commercial, residential, and mixed-use properties.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on maintenance professional with strong problem-solving skills, a full driver's licence, and their own transport to get started in the role. You'll work closely with clients and site teams to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works across multiple sites.
- Complete general handyman duties including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, repairs, and minor electrical tasks.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine site inspections and identify maintenance issues before they escalate.
- Respond to maintenance call outs and service requests within agreed timeframes.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of completed works, materials used, and site visits.
- Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, contractors, and site management teams.
- Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained in good working order.
- Support the wider maintenance team with additional projects as required.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Previous experience in a Handyman, Facilities Technician, Maintenance Technician, Fabric Technician, or Multi-Skilled Maintenance role.
- Full clean driving licence (essential).
- Own transport to travel to and from work locations.
- Strong experience carrying out general building and maintenance repairs.
- Good knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
