We are looking for an experienced AI and Emerging Technology Governance Specialist to join a leading client in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, sitting on the cutting edge of technology. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the AI governance framework, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and developing ethical guidelines for the use of AI.

You will also be responsible for managing the risks associated with AI and data science, conducting risk assessments of AI and data science systems, and providing guidance to stakeholders on the ethical use of AI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AI technologies, as well as experience in governance, risk management, and ethics.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement the AI governance framework based on guidelines from various compliance and legal organisations and Technologies.

• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to AI.

• Develop ethical guidelines for the use of AI based on company guidelines.

• Develop processes for managing the risks associated with AI and data science.

• Conduct risk assessments of AI and data science systems

• Provide guidance to stakeholders on the ethical use of AI

• Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in AI and governance (US and European Countries)

• Provide analysis on the impact and trajectory of legislation

• Represent Medical Surgical at AI and ML governance forums within the business and seek out external references

Qualifications :

• Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in AI or related fields

• Python scripting for data manipulation.

• Hands-on data science testing - database lakes, with an attitude of "what happens when", model governance outputs and having Vision.

• Data bricks - data tool

• Strong in how to store and manage data

• Retrieval Augmented Generation / RAG Experience - where you have optimised outputs of large language models, so it can reference authoritative knowledge outside its data sources pre-initial response.

• Strong understanding of AI technologies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Professional certifications in AI ethics, data privacy, or regulatory compliance will be a plus.

• Familiarity with relevant regulations and frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ethical AI guidelines.
