Hey folks!
We’re currently hiring a Data Scientist (Level 2) and experience in data analytics, SQL/Python, and financial crime/AML or risk analytics really stood out.
This role sits within Financial Crime Analytics (Second Line of Defence) and plays a key part in safeguarding the bank against Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, Fraud, Sanctions breaches, and AML risks.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Analysing AML Transaction Monitoring and Financial Crime data
- Building MI dashboards and visual insights (Qlik/Tableau/SAS VA)
- Using SQL + Python/R/SAS for deep‑dive analysis
- Supporting AML, Fraud, Sanctions & Compliance investigations
- Conducting data quality checks, testing & issue resolution
- Partnering with Risk, Compliance, Technology & 1LOD teams
- Helping ensure alignment with Central Bank & FCA regulatory expectations
Key Details
- Location: Sandyford, Dublin
- Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
- Contract: 12‑month rolling contract
- Payment: Weekly
- Start Date: ASAP
Job Description
We’re looking for someone with:
- 2+ years in Data Analyst / Data Scientist roles
- Strong SQL skills (mandatory)
- Experience with Python/R/SAS
- Background in Financial Crime, AML, Fraud, Risk, or Compliance (ideal but not required)
- Strong data visualisation skills (QlikView, Tableau, Power BI, SAS VA)
- Degree in Maths, Stats, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or similar
- Great communication skills & ability to explain technical insights simply
