Senior BA - MiFID II, Regulatory Reporting - Contract - Dublin
Who will you be working for?
You will be working for a multinational, Fortune 500 investment bank and financial services corporation based in the heart of Dublin City centre. This role is hybrid, 3 days on site per week. What will you be working on?
You will be an integral part of the Data & Regulatory Operations group, responsible for the oversight of day-to-day compliance for regulatory reporting including exception management and risk mitigation for the EMEA Region. The team is responsible for the review, action and oversight of daily regulatory reporting and exception management. The team provides a crucial level of governance to safeguard the organisation and its clients for their reporting obligations. Regulatory Operations (Reg Ops) work closely with Compliance, Business, Technology and Operations to interpret, investigate and remediate regulatory related issues, and to track risk through metrics analysis, trending oversight and timely escalation. The role of a Business Analyst within the MiFID II Transaction Reporting Team is to provide supervision and oversight of key controls and processes, in order to ensure a best-in-class provision of regulatory reporting on behalf of the firm and its clients. You will review trade, position and transaction reporting validation and reconciliation exceptions pertaining to transaction data submitted to numerous National Competent Authorities (such as FCA, Central Bank of Ireland and BaFin). Along with this, you will drive implementation and perform monitoring and testing of firm’s submission data and exceptions/rejections to develop appropriate controls to drive the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reporting obligations for MiFID II Transaction Reporting, within Regulatory Operations.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for candidates in a Senior Business Analyst function, with strong financial services and banking experience. Hugely beneficial to this role would be someone with MiFID II experience, or similar regulations. Key to this role is also being strongly proficient with regulatory reporting, along with being focused on risk and control and processes. A background in risk, compliance and audit may help in this case. You will be strong with Excel, SQL, Jira and Confluence, and have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You will have experience in compiling large volumes of data and analysing results, and demonstrate sound judgement and professionalism in decision making/problem solving, escalating to supervisor as appropriate.What you'll get in return
