Senior Data Analyst – Asset Management | Dublin

Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and BAU issues.
  • Delivery of detailed data analysis, data flows, data lineage, and definition of data, including roles and responsibilities at the attribute level, supported by robust metadata management.
  • Contribute to the definition of changes and operational processes by understanding the business process and data flows, handoffs, dependencies, tools.
  • Take accountability for investigating and resolving BAU data issues, providing root cause analysis, implementing preventative measures, and collaborating with business teams, technology, and outsource providers to deliver tested resolutions.
  • Drive and manage agreement of business requirements, data and technical requirements with the relevant business, Data and Technology teams.
  • Ensure defects, changing requirements and dependencies are tracked and managed.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices for analysis and project delivery
  • Supporting business areas by onboarding data sets and answering queries from the Data Help Desk, promoting self-service and data literacy.
  • Producing and maintaining required documentation, including operating models, data dictionaries and catalogues.
  • Monitor dashboards to identify Data Quality Issues. Review and deliver business requirements for new data quality checks in addition to identifying new opportunities for improving data quality.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Must have experience of working on Index Data.
  • Good understanding of index data, index data providers, index composition and index feed file types
  • Good understanding of index valuation types and calculating index returns
  • Collaborative approach to working with business stakeholders, architects, the CDO team.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in eliciting, documenting, and validating business and data requirements using structured methodologies
  • Good understanding of data governance concepts, including data domains, data ownership, data stewardship and application of critical data element standards and definitions
