Data Analyst Payments – Contract 3 months – Hybrid Opportunity

Your new company
One of Ireland’s largest financial companies with over 200 locations nationwide, which provides a diverse range of services in banking, financial and related services, is currently seeking a Data Analyst to work within a busy office located in Central Park, Dublin.

Your new role
As a Payments & Account Rectification Data Analyst, you will collaborate closely with Calculation Specialists to support the delivery of customer restitution and account correction initiatives. You will be responsible for validating interest refund calculations, reviewing reconciliation data, and analysing complex datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency across all remediation activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining customer trust and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience in analysing and validating large data sets, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to independently test and verify formulas used in customer refund and restitution calculations.
  • Proven capability to review, analyse, and reconcile refund data files within tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Experience in creating and presenting testing results, highlighting risks, issues, and recommendations based on data analysis and business requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Understanding of governance frameworks, risk controls, and compliance with organisational policies and standards.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering fair and accurate outcomes for customers.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
