Java Developer with Big Data experience required
Who will you be working for?
You will be working for a multinational, Fortune 500 investment bank and financial services corporation based in the heart of Dublin City centre. This role is hybrid, 3 days on site per week. Working as a Big Data Developer, you will be immersed in the progressive culture that exists within the organisation.
What will you be working on?
You will be part of the Prime Data Services team with a key responsibility for developing, enhancing existing big data pipelines, performance tuning Java components, along with contribution to new data ingestions and distribution frameworks in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. You will develop java applications and web services, participate in design meetings and present ideas to improve the application framework, and utilize your experience on Big Data frameworks to define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code.What you'll need to succeed
We are looking to speak with seasoned Big Data candidates with a strong understanding of Java. You will have expertise with Impala, Spark along with Spring framework. You will be well versed with data reconciliations, data quality, large data processing and controls, along with shell scripting (Linux/SQL). Furthermore, you will have experience with some RDBMS including NoSQL. Along with this, you will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to work with globally-dispersed teams.
