Your new role
As an Accounting Specialist, you will have an opportunity to get involved in the design of key financial processes and get exposure to the full accounting function across various regions and working in multiple currencies.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing electronic invoice workflows, data entry, including GL account allocation, and payment preparation
- Overseeing vendor management, maintaining accurate records, and handling all vendor queries
- Driving timely GRN and invoice capturing to drive timely vendor payments
- Reviewing invoices for correct tax treatment
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving outstanding issues and escalations
- Administering company PCard transactions, including reconciliation and approvals
- Supporting month-end close and audit processes (internal and external), including journal entries
- Support accurate capturing of bank statement entries into the ledger
- Identifying and driving process improvements and automation opportunities
- Being the compliance champion for Accounts Payable
- Mastery of AP policies and processes to be able to train and support non-Finance users as required
- Input into global monthly cash planning, including trend analysis
- Regular reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts
- Analysis of costs vs plan
- Leave cover for Accounts Receivable
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Finance environment
- Understanding of financial entries, financial statements, and management accounts
- Strong experience with SAP ERP systems, Ariba an advantage
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Fluency in foreign languages will be advantageous
- Candidates should have the appropriate right to work documentation (visa/work permit) where applicable.
