Deputy Company Secretary | Public Sector | Dublin/Hybrid | 11 Months | 11 Months

Your new company

As Deputy Company Secretary you will join a professional team in one of Ireland’s most reputable independent statutory authorities within Health & Social Care, providing support to the Board Secretary in managing the Board & Committee Secretariat. Your new role will be located in Dublin City with hybrid working options (1-2 days in the office). Your new company requires you to join their team for 11 months.

Your new role

As Deputy Company Secretary, your duties will include but are not limited to the management of the Board and Committee Secretariat, supporting the Board Secretary in fulfilling governance functions, supporting operations including drafting minutes of meetings, maintaining accurate records management to comply with legislative and organisational requirements, oversight of the delivery of the internal audit plan, procurement, and contract management as required.

What you'll need to succeed

To become Deputy Company Secretary, you will ideally have recent relevant experience in a similar role. Strong minute-taking skills are necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, along with strong written skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines is required.
A qualification in corporate governance/company secretarial or legal and/or knowledge of the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies and/or knowledge of practices/procedures of the public sector and particularly public sector governance is desirable. Experience of public sector meeting procedures, decision-making rules, and governance policies is advantageous along with knowledge of the Irish health and social care sector.

With clear and relevant examples of your career achievements within a role that you have provided company secretary support, you will be a very strong candidate for this role.
