The company enforces a collaborative, people-centric culture where professional development is strongly encouraged, making this an excellent opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer striving to advance their career within a booming organisation.
Your New Role & Responsibilities:
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of major civils and utilities projects across the greater Dublin region.
These positions are predominantly paid on an hourly basis (you will be paid for every hour you work on site).
Selection of Duties:
- Lead and oversee day‑to‑day site engineering activities across civils, utilities, and infrastructure works.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accurate delivery of works
- Manage setting‑out, surveying, and quality control processes on site
- Coordinate with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Monitor construction progress, identify issues early, and implement practical engineering solutions
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards, environmental requirements, and industry regulations
- Prepare and maintain site records, reports, and quality assurance paperwork
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- You will need a degree in Civil engineering or a related discipline,
- 4+ years’ experience working on civil, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and supporting project delivery is also required.
- Strong communication and organisational skills are also required to liaise with project teams and stakeholders.
- Being proactive and hands-on, alongside being able to work independently and as part of a wider team, will help you to succeed in this role.
What You'll Get in Return:
In return, you will be joining an organisation offering strong long‑term stability, a steady pipeline of civils and utilities projects, and genuine opportunities for continued career development as the company expands.
You will have the option of being paid on either an hourly rate or a fixed salary. For senior‑level engineers, hourly rates can be up to €50.00 an hour, depending on experience and project exposure. This generally corresponds to €75,000–€100,000+ per year based on a 45–50 hour working week. Both PAYE and self‑employed arrangements can be accommodated.
Salaries are commonly offered in the region of €75,000 to €85,000+, with additional benefits such as a vehicle or travel allowance, performance‑related bonuses, and pension contributions available. Your exact package will reflect your experience level and the value you bring to the project team.
