Facilities Estate Manager - €60,000 - €70,000 – Dublin City Centre + Excellent Benefits Package

Reporting to: Head of Property Services
Location: Dublin
Salary: €65,000 - €70,000 (DOE)

Your New Company
Our client is expanding their Property Services function with the creation of a new Facilities & Estates team, which will include the transition of existing site caretakers into this structure. The Facilities and Estates Manager will lead this newly established team, providing strategic and operational oversight for approximately 20–30 caretakers, supported by a Team Lead. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the effective management, safety, maintenance and presentation of communal areas, estates, buildings and office spaces across the organisation’s national property portfolio. You will ensure all facilities services are efficient, compliant and customer‑focused, while driving high standards, managing service contracts and building strong internal and external relationships. Although the main responsibilities are outlined, the role will evolve in line with organisational needs.


Responsibilities

Property, Office & Estate Maintenance
  • Oversee the upkeep and presentation of communal areas, external estates, gardens and shared spaces.
  • Manage planned and reactive maintenance across buildings, offices and estate assets.
  • Coordinate essential services including cleaning, landscaping, security, waste management and pest control.

Team Leadership & Operations
  • Lead a national team of Facilities Coordinators (Caretakers) and support the newly appointed Team Lead.
  • Plan rotas, allocate workloads and oversee day‑to‑day operations.
  • Identify and coordinate minor repairs, painting, maintenance and cleaning tasks.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, local authorities, Gardaí and community stakeholders.

Contract & Supplier Management
  • Manage contracts for maintenance, cleaning, repairs and grounds services.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure services provide value for money.
  • Lead tendering, procurement and negotiation of relevant contracts.

Budgeting & Financial Oversight
  • Prepare and manage facilities and estate budgets.
  • Track expenditure and ensure financial compliance.

Organisational Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of excellence, leadership and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure staff receive appropriate training and development.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider management team and share expertise.
  • Support the achievement of departmental KPIs and service standards.
  • Drive customer‑focused service delivery and use feedback to improve performance.
  • Participate in out‑of‑hours cover as required.

Corporate Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate organisational values in all interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, statutory and legal obligations.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Oversee performance management, supervision and training of team members.
  • Identify training needs and ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
  • Conduct regular one‑to‑one and performance reviews.

Health & Safety Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety policies.
  • Maintain risk assessments and ensure staff understand safety requirements.
  • Ensure correct use of PPE and adherence to all safety procedures.


What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Degree in property services, asset investment, building management or a related field, plus 3 years’ management experience.
  • Health & Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
  • Proven success leading a facilities or estates team with strong performance outcomes.
  • Experience delivering excellent customer experience across multiple service areas.
  • Strong resource management and budgeting experience.
  • Strong understanding of facilities management best practice and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of building systems including M&E, fire safety and security
  • Proven project management and contract management capabilities
  • Willingness to work outside standard office hours when required
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car (or ability to meet mobility requirements)
