Ireland | 12-Month Contract

Your new company

Your new company is a professional body and learned society in Ireland and the UK. As a charity, they are passionate about increasing public understanding of STEM and supporting a diverse and inclusive community. They are looking for you to join them on a 12-month contract, working mostly remotely while also attending events and meetings in person.

Your new role

As Ireland Lead, you will be responsible for managing and leading a dynamic team and be accountable for budgets to ensure the effective delivery, monitoring, and reporting of high‑quality, impactful programmes and projects. You will serve as secretariat for the Irish Charity Board, supporting officers, shaping agendas, and coordinating with the Chief Executive Officer, Directors, and the Governance Team to ensure full compliance and efficiency.
You will provide guidance and strategic support to the Ireland Committee, ensuring its activities remain aligned with organisational priorities. You will cultivate strong relationships with members and existing stakeholders while developing new partnerships. You will enhance the organisation’s visibility and reputation across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Additionally, you will oversee the development, implementation, and adherence to procedures, protocols, and policies that uphold the quality of work in Ireland and ensure compliance with Irish legislation. You will represent the organisation at a range of meetings and events.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in your new role, you will be a creative leader with experience managing high-performing teams. You will have strong political acumen with knowledge of science, business and education policy issues in the UK, Northern Ireland and Ireland, along with familiarity with Irish charity law and membership bodies. You will have demonstrated the ability to design and implement strategies, frameworks, and initiatives that align with organisational goals and produce measurable results.
