Your new role
We are seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to support the Site Manager in the day-to-day delivery of a large-scale residential development in Navan.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the completion of residential units from first-fix stage through to commissioning, practical completion, snagging, and final handover. This position requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple finishing trades while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Manager with the daily management and coordination of site activities.
- Supervise direct employees and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and to specification.
- Manage the completion of houses, duplexes, and apartment units from first-fix carpentry through to final handover.
- Coordinate and oversee all finishing trades, ensuring quality standards are achieved at every stage.
- Monitor materials, workmanship, and quality control processes.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures and site regulations.
- Support surveying, document control, and general site administration activities.
- Manage snagging processes, including purchaser inspections and close-of-sale requirements.
- Maintain professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and the wider project team.
Project Details
The role is based on a substantial residential development in Navan comprising 93 residential units, including two and three-storey houses, duplexes, and apartment units.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman on residential construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple trades and meet project deadlines.
- Strong focus on health, safety, and quality delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman, Foreman, or Site Supervisor on residential construction projects.
- Strong track record of managing housing, apartment, or mixed-use developments through the finishing stages to handover.
- Excellent knowledge of internal finishes, snagging, quality control, and building regulations.
- Experience coordinating and managing multiple finishing trades and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and delivering projects to a high standard.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage programme requirements effectively.
- Proficient in maintaining site records, progress reporting, and document control.
- Relevant construction qualification preferred.
- Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and other relevant site certifications required.
- Full clean driver's licence desirable.
