Business Analyst - Opportunity

Your new company

One of Ireland’s largest financial companies with over 200 locations nationwide, which provides a diverse range of services in banking, financial and related services, is currently seeking a Business Analyst to work within a branch located in Dublin.

Your new role

This role requires a highly skilled business analyst with experience in the Cards Business, ideally in areas such as Authorisations, Chip Card settings, Settlements, and Fraud. The candidate should have proven expertise in business analysis, systems design, technical architecture, and functional specification. Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. The role involves managing multiple concurrent projects, including business case development, gathering requirements, and ensuring adherence to project management standards. A minimum of 5 years' experience in project management/business analysis and proficiency in tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. A 3rd level degree or PM qualification is preferred.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Proven ability in project management and an ability to prioritise and plan effectively to achieve goals, consistently delivering reliable results. Possess a proven ability to produce quality outputs on aggressive time schedules.
2. Ability to exercise the necessary skills to manage a project incorporating systems design requirements, technical architecture and functional specification, user testing, implementation and adhering to industry-standard design principles.
3. Proven Business analysis skills
4. Prior experience in Cards Business & systems desirable, preferably possessing experience in Authorisations, Chip Card settings, Settlements, Fraud.
5. Strong business acumen and ability to prepare statistics/business reports.
6. The ability to support and lead others, a strong team player.
7. Good communication and influencing skills.
8. Excellent organisational skills
9. Good people skills and the ability to work closely with and manage internal and external stakeholders.
10. Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
11. 3rd level degree/PM qualification preferred. Minimum 5 years PM/Business Analyst experience required.
