I am excited to offer a newly created opportunity within a leading Pharmaceutical team based in Cork. This Senior Credit Risk Specialist role is pivotal in managing credit risk across a diverse international customer portfolio. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support commercial growth while safeguarding financial integrity in a dynamic, globally recognised pharmaceutical environment.

Your new role
  • Lead detailed credit risk assessments for new and existing customers.
  • Monitor creditworthiness, set and review credit limits and payment terms.
  • Analyse financial statements and forecasts to support credit decisions.
  • Partner with Commercial, Treasury, and Controllership teams to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Oversee the Credit Block Release process across multiple markets.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Credit & Collections function.


What you'll need to succeed
  • A qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or someone with 5+ years’ experience in credit risk management.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to make evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in multinational environments; exposure to biotech or pharma is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial reporting tools.
