About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Credit Official on behalf of a leading financial services organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in banking, lending, credit assessment, or customer-focused financial services who are looking to develop their career within a reputable and fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will play a key part in the customer credit journey, supporting customers through the application process, assessing creditworthiness, and contributing to informed lending decisions while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess credit applications in line with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct customer interactions professionally and efficiently via telephone and digital channels.
- Gather and analyse financial information to support credit decisions.
- Ensure all lending decisions comply with regulatory and internal risk requirements.
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication and service.
- Support customers throughout their credit application journey.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve service and business objectives.
Candidate Requirements
- APA Qualified in Loans and Regulations (QFA pathway candidates welcome).
- Previous experience within a banking, lending, financial services, or credit environment.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- Experience engaging with customers over the phone.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Desirable Experience
- Credit assessment or underwriting experience.
- Lending, collections, or account management experience.
- Previous experience working within a regulated financial institution.
- Knowledge of consumer lending and financial regulations.
