Audit Senior
Location: Galway (Hybrid: 3 days WFH / 2 days office)
Salary: €50,000 annually
Department: Audit
Reports to: Audit Manager / Senior Manager
Office Headcount: ~100+ staff
Direct Reports: Small number of Audit Juniors on engagements
Client Base: Mix of large and small clients (Irish & UK portfolios)
About the Role
The firm is seeking multiple Audit Seniors to join an expanding audit practice in Galway. This role offers broad exposure across a diverse client portfolio and the opportunity to develop leadership skills through managing junior team members. The office is experiencing continued growth and provides strong career progression in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements across a range of client types and sizes.
- Plan, execute, and finalise audit assignments in line with firm standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior team members.
- Manage multiple audit jobs concurrently, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Liaise directly with clients, building strong professional relationships.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (FRS/IFRS).
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent).
- Background in Big 4 or similar top-tier training environment strongly preferred.
- Recently qualified professionals from graduate programmes are ideal.
- Experience working with FRS and/or IFRS.
- Strong project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Self-starter with strong ownership of work and problem‑solving capability.
