Our client is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company, serving a variety of end markets such as chemicals and energy, food and beverages, electronics, healthcare, manufacturing, metals and mining. The heavy vehicle side of their business is one of the leading truck and forklift distributors in Ireland. Due to growth demands within the market, we are looking for an experienced Asset Director to come on board to look after their short-term leasing and used sales portfolio.

Your new role

To deliver in the role effectively, the successful candidate will need to actively contribute towards the overall leadership of the business; engaging and supporting colleagues from other business streams, different regions and Head Office to ensure the IRL delivers on its targets.

What you'll need to succeed

• Good understanding of Asset Management within the fork truck or similar industry
• Ideally, possess a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline
• Strong technical background in fork trucks or similar equipment
• Experience in a Plant Hire or Equipment Rental business
• Strong customer-facing and engagement skills
• Experience of managing sales teams and delivery of sales targets
• Understanding and experience of used equipment sales and rentals markets
• Able to develop and execute strategies, plans and budgets in line with overall business objectives
• Able to negotiate commercially successful deals
• Able to communicate effectively and openly at all levels
• Able to lead teams to success
