Your New Role
As Production Floor Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing day‑to‑day production activities within a fast‑paced food processing environment. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and hygienic operations while meeting production output, quality, and regulatory standards.
This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring strong people management, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Supervision & Team Management
  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate General Operatives and production teams across multiple lines.
  • Foster a positive, motivated, and high‑performing team environment.
  • Plan workloads, allocate daily tasks, and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.

Production Operations
  • Oversee all production functions including intake, separation, bottling, packaging, labelling, order assembly, and dispatch.
  • Ensure correct machine setup, changeovers, and operation in line with production schedules.
  • Monitor output, efficiency, downtime, and product quality; take corrective actions when needed.
  • Complete and verify all production and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to maintain smooth operations.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality.

Health, Safety & Hygiene
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe production environment.
  • Ensure proper PPE use and hygiene adherence by all staff.
  • Report hazards, near‑misses, and unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Participate in safety audits, inspections, and training.

Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure production activities comply with GMP and company SOPs.
  • Verify and sign off all production, process, and cleaning records.
  • Support preparation and participation in internal and external audits.

Communication & Coordination
  • Communicate targets, production plans, and daily updates clearly to the production team.
  • Work cross‑functionally to address and resolve operational issues.
  • Report key metrics and improvement opportunities to management.


Additional Duties
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet changing business needs.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to evolving priorities.


What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or team leader role, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of Food Safety, HACCP, and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing production teams and achieving performance targets.
  • Proficiency in production reporting, documentation, and basic computer applications.
  • Practical experience with manufacturing equipment and processing operations.
