Senior Accounts Assistant - Dublin 2
Your new company
A well-established organisation in the hospitality sector is seeking to hire a Senior Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. This role sits within a small, focused finance team and offers a stable and supportive working environment with strong opportunities for progression. The role is city-centre based, in the vibrant Temple Bar area. The role offers hybrid working after the probation period, and a salary range of €40,000-€45,000.
Your new role
In your new position, you will report directly to the Financial Controller while also overseeing the work of an Accounts Assistant. This is a hands‑on and operationally focused role where you will take ownership of the core finance activities of the business. Your responsibilities will include managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, completing daily financial reporting and cash counting, and carrying out regular reconciliations. You will also support the payroll process, take ownership of preparation of monthly management accounts to trial balance, and manage all internal and external financial queries. The role will also involve ROS VAT/ PAYE returns.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this position, you will need to bring solid experience from a busy finance or assistant accountant role and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. You will be comfortable working independently and managing your own workload with accuracy and efficiency. Experience with Sage or an equivalent accounting package will be helpful, and prior experience in an accounts role in the hospitality industry is a distinct advantage. The successful candidate will also be an Accounting Technician, Part-qualified Accountant, or hold a relevant 3rd Level Business Degree, and may be studying towards their ACCA qualification.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary of €40,000–€45,000, depending on experience. The company offers flexible working hours, and after the probation period, hybrid working will be available. This position also offers excellent opportunities for growth within a stable and well‑supported finance function.
