Accounts Assistant required for freight company in North Dublin. Permanent role, ample room to grow. €35,000

Your new company

This freight forwarding company are part of a large multinational group who have grown steadily over the past years. With further expansion planned over the coming years they are seeking to hire for a newly created Accounts assistant role. The office is based in North county Dublin, close to the Airport, which is well serviced by a number of bus and transport routes, ample parking on site.

Your new role

You will be tasked with varied duties, primarily focused on accounts payable to begin, but duties will grow and develop over the years.

  • Invoice processing
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Query resolution
  • Import tax processing
  • Month-end reconciliation
  • Bank account management
  • Preparation of payment runs for approval
  • General finance admin and bookkeeping
  • Supporting the financial controller in other adhoc and reporting duties and more.
This accounts assistant role has huge room for development and growth, duties will change in line with your progression.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have 2–3 years experience working in an accounts assistant role, ideally within an Irish SME with knowledge of taxation and legislation. You will be a driven professional seeking a role that will grow as you do professionally. This role calls for good experience working on your own initiative and requires great communication skills.
