A dynamic and highly engaged not‑for‑profit arts organisation is seeking an experienced and motivated bookkeeper to join its small, dedicated team. This organisation delivers an exciting programme of events, exhibitions, and festivals to audiences of all ages across Ireland. Your new role

The bookkeeper plays a central role in ensuring the organisation’s financial operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with programme delivery. This position requires a confident multi‑tasker with strong financial acumen, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar or transferable role.
  • Strong working knowledge of XERO or similar accounting software.
  • Significant experience in financial management, including audit preparation and managing substantial budgets.
  • Excellent IT literacy, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Familiarity with GDPR requirements.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to support financial queries from colleagues, board members, and funders.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, numeracy, and analytical ability.
  • Outstanding organisational, communication, time‑management, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
