ICT Application Analyst (FTC) | To December 2027 | 3 days on-site in either Carlow or Galway | €53k max
The Opportunity:
We’re recruiting for an ICT Application Analyst to join a large, multi-site organisation on a fixed-term contract through to the end of 2027, supporting a major system transformation programme.
This is a hands-on, technically focused role (70% technical / 30% business analysis), ideal for someone who enjoys working across data, applications, and stakeholders to deliver real impact. You’ll play a key role in modernising legacy systems and implementing new, integrated solutions across the organisation. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading requirements gathering and translating business needs into functional and technical solutions
- Driving delivery of a large-scale system redevelopment project, including:
- Application upgrades and enhancements
- New data collection tools
- Reporting and analytics improvements
- Managing data migration from legacy systems, ensuring quality and accuracy
- Working with APIs and integrations to connect systems across the environment
- Managing third-party vendors and delivery partners
- Leading UAT, training, and implementation activities
- Overseeing project plans, timelines, risks, and communications
- Ensuring all solutions align with architectural standards and best practice
- Supporting ongoing application optimisation and improvements
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in technical applications / systems role
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- SQL / databases
- Excel (including macros)
- Web applications (.NET, Java or similar)
- Experience in data migration and legacy system transformation
- Understanding of APIs and system integrations
- Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Ability to work across both technical delivery and business analysis
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including non-technical users
- Experience working with vendors and external partners
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
- Experience with Microsoft technologies (M365, SharePoint, Dynamics)
- Exposure to enterprise systems (CRM, Finance platforms)
- Knowledge of Agile or PRINCE2 methodologies
- Experience working in structured or regulated environments
- Understanding of procurement or governance processes
Please note: You will need to have either an EEA EU passport, stamp 4 or stamp 1G visa in hand to move forward with this role. You also must have a Level 8 degree (Bachelors) in a relevant field.
