Sourcing Partner - 12 month assignment - Telecoms Industry - Global Company

We are working with a global leader in telecommunications who are looking to add a Procurement professional to their sourcing team. This organisation who pride themselves on their corporate responsibility initiatives are offering an initial 12 month assignment for this role based out of their head office in Dublin City Centre.
Your new role
In this new role you will work alongside the sourcing team, performing market analyses to find potential suppliers and guiding internal business partners through the supplier selection process. You will also find yourself working cross-functionally to document requirements, build RFPs, and conduct negotiations while also handling the sourcing process, ensuring that it aligns with policy. The purpose of this role is to promote cost savings and revenue generation business goals through the sourcing process for large spend category areas while driving all aspects of complex strategic sourcing process, including but not limited to, taking lead on contract negotiations of business and pricing terms and conditions, conducting research and providing benchmark data on pricing and/or other key terms.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be degree educated (ideally in supply chain, engineering or construction management) and have at least 3 years supply chain sourcing experience with excellent attention to detail. Ideally you will also have a Lean Six Sigma certification, Project management certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute and a Supply chain certification, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISM). Ideally for this role you will have experience in telecommunication/Technology or labour based sourcing.
