Site Manager – Residential Development

Hays Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established Main Contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a residential housing development of up to 30 units in Waterford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Site Manager to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a high-quality residential project, working with a supportive and professional project team.

Role Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a residential development of up to 30 houses.
  • Coordinate and supervise all on-site activities, direct labour, and subcontractors
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to specification
  • Implement and maintain strict Health & Safety standards in line with company and legislative requirements
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and quality inspections
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Plan and manage works to ensure high standards of finish and compliance with building regulations.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks throughout all stages of construction
About You
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor role
  • Proven experience delivering residential housing projects in Ireland
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades
  • Highly organised with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates
  • Full, clean driving licence
Desirable
  • Construction-related degree, engineering qualification, or trade background
  • Experience managing housing schemes or multi-unit residential developments
