Site Engineer

Company: Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor. They are currently very busy working on various building and civil projects throughout Galway and Mayo. They are now seeking to recruit two Site Engineers in the west. They are also recruiting a foreman. Applicants will need to be qualified and have at least 3 years post-graduate experience. You should be proficient at setting out (total station) and you must have experience on building projects such as retail/commercial or civil projects. Immediate start available. Excellent remuneration / package will be negotiated.

Duties

The ideal candidate will be competent in the use of instruments for the purposes of setting out and gathering information, to include total station, GPS and laser level.

It would be beneficial to have experience of taking levels for the construction of a structural steel frame, finishing concrete, drainage, services and roadways etc.

Management of programme

Mobilising subcontractors to site

Site supervision of various trades and contractors

The successful candidate should also be competent in using Microsoft Word, excel and outlook and be good with paperwork in general.

Good Health and Safety management and plans

Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate.

Making sure the work performed and materials used are as specified in the contract

Overseeing quality control measures on the site

Liaising with subcontractors, clients and other professional staff
