Our new company is a well-established multi-disciplinary Engineering, Environmental and Project Management Consultancy based in Dublin. They have over 30+ years of proven expertise across a diverse range of projects, including industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, process and food industry. Their expertise includes civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, Architecture, Project Management and Quantity Surveying. They are now looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to assist with the increased workload.
Your new role
In your new position, Strong analytical skills will be necessary for you to work on a variety of industrial, institutional and commercial initiatives nationwide. The ideal candidate for this position is a highly qualified engineer with the ability to deliver projects. They should be ambitious with the aspiration to progress within the company. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage project resources through planning.
- Provide proactive guidance and support for employees under your direction.
- Oversee the Quality Management System for the company along with company compliance.
- Business Development Management- Managing Client relationships and find new leads.
- Coordination and liaising with the client.
- Carry out project cost control and generate project invoices.
- Discussing fees and charges with clients and overseeing them.
- Establish and improve design within the company.
- Delivering engineering solutions that are sustainable and profitable.
- Manage projects at varying phases.
- Adopt suitable design principles and create concept designs.
- Create and evaluate designs and design documents.
What you'll need to succeed
The minimum requirement for this role is a Level 8 Honour bachelor’s degree (A masters degree/level 9 would be an advantage). You must be Chartered or pursuing Chartership to be considered for this role. A minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience is required. You will need excellent design skills, preferably in steel and concrete framed structures. Strong Communication Skills-both written and verbal are essential.
