Our client is an established consulting engineering company with locations in Ireland and the UK. They have an excellent reputation and have worked on various projects including environmental, educational, commercial and industrial developments, civil and structural, mechanical and electrical, environmental impact assessment, planning services, water services, flood risk assessments and flood alleviation works.

Your new role

You will join a busy design team who are now seeing an increase in projects. The successful candidate will have previous experience working on structural design and the ability to work on one’s own initiative to co-ordinate models with internal and external design team members including Architects and Building services. This is an opportunity to provide mentorship to junior team members and manage projects. Your team is responsible for a broad range of commercial, industrial and institutional buildings and developments. Undertake design elements for projects to current regulations and design standards. Manage the production of drawings and reports. Co-ordinate work with engineers of other disciplines. Attend meetings with clients and other consultants during the course of projects.

What you'll need to succeed

You will hold a degree qualification in BIM, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other related discipline. Ideally, 5 years experience working on a range of projects. Proficient in the use of Revit, BIM and other modelling softwares to produce 3D designs. Irish or UK experience is a distinct advantage. The ability to work well in teams, work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Excellent planning and organisation skills, along with good communication and interpersonal skills.
