Senior Engineer/ Lead Engineer - 6 Months Contract, Hybrid in Dublin

We are looking to recruit a Senior Engineer to join the EMEA Regulatory Reporting Technology team, leading the software development of the technology platform. This important role is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach to delivering important business solutions.
Your new role
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Hands on senior developer, leading global teams, responsible for the design and development of the EMEA Regulatory Reporting technology platform solutions
- Design, development and support of the End to End solution, in line with over-arching architecture and technology blueprint
- Planning, coordinating, and execution of technology delivery within an agile framework
- Provide technical thought leadership based on experience building multiple software solutions
- Create frameworks, interfaces and complex components for team(s) to utilize and develop
- Constantly looks for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution
- Supports and mentors the team on design and best practices for high code performance - e.g. code / design reviews
- Ensure development team efficiency and looks for ways to improve
- Helps define the technology tool stack for the solution
- Contributes to test strategy creation and automation of test suites
- Ensure best practice delivery within Agile SDLC framework in line with the enterprise policies and standards
- Ensure strong Risk Management, with risk identification, action-plan execution, and lifecycle ownership
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven track record designing & developing enterprise scale Oracle PL/SQL solution
- Experience as technical lead for large Oracle PL/SQL development teams
- Ability to create shared reusable components that can be leveraged across the enterprise
- Strong leader, capable of guiding development teams to implement technical designs
- Excellent understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies and JIRA framework
- Experience in Big Data development (Hive/ Spark)
- Experience with PL/SQL unit testing
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible
