As Regulatory Policy Specialist you will join a leading Irish semi-state utility company who are responsible for the delivery and maintenance of utilities across Ireland. Your new office in conveniently located in Dublin City and is accessible via public transport, your team are offering a hybrid working model. Your new company require you to join their team for at least on a specific purpose contract for at least 12-18 months.
Your new role
As Regulatory Policy Specialist you will be reporting to the Regulation Operations Manager and be responsible for developing regulatory policy proposals for submission to the CRU, working with the wider Customer and Economic Regulation team and other internal stakeholders.
Your duties will include providing policy development support and guidance to the Customer and Economic Regulation team, carrying out research and analysis to inform the development of regulatory policy proposals, supporting CRU consultation process of new regulatory policy initiatives, monitoring developments in utility network regulation, providing updates to the CRU and responding to their queries, providing regulatory support and guidance to the Connections and Developer Services, managing delivery of reporting to the CRU, participating in internal forums, working with regulation functions to develop strategy and policy, driving continuous improvements and all general administrative and ad-hoc duties that fall into your new role.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have 5 years relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within a Utility, Regulation or Policy development role along with a relevant third level qualification. Working knowledge of relevant connections policies and standards for Utility businesses is necessary. Proven ability to act as an advocate for the development and implementation of change along with stakeholder management skills is required for this position. Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are essential as you will be communicating with a vast range of stakeholders both internal and external. Proficiency using MS Suite along with a keen eye for detail and multi-tasking skills is essential to meet tight deadlines.
