Your new role
As a Purchasing Supply Chain Specialist, you will be supporting the Purchasing Director from their Head Office in Galway. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a new challenge and has experienced knowledge within the industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring supplier performance
- Managing and liaising with suppliers, ensuring that all shipments are shipped on time
- Responsible for Forecasting & ordering stock
- Responsible for preparing purchasing budgets
- Developing procedures to improve the processes within the purchasing department
- Managing and liaising with suppliers, ensuring that all shipments are shipped on time
- Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance based on delivery reliability and quality
- Setting up new items on the system and updating the company database records on pricing, lead times, etc
- Working proactively with all departments in the company to help maintain an efficient supply chain
- Improving systems by providing constructive feedback and recommendations on how we could change/improve our system to meet purchasing requirements
What you'll need to succeed
The suitable candidate must have previous purchasing experience, displaying an ability to analyse data to determine the correct purchasing requirements of an ever-changing retail landscape. Demonstrate exceptionally strong organisational and problem-solving skills. They will also be self-motivated, with an ability to multi-task. A flexible approach and commitment to ensuring the smooth running of the daily operations of the Company is of utmost importance. Working with Management, this role will deal with highly confidential information and so, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate discretion in their duties.
