Project Manage the maintenance and FM services to a number of PPP contracts across Ireland. Remote working

Your new company
Our client provides project management services and is working on a number of PPP contracts across Ireland. They are now seeking to recruit a Project Manager that can work from home.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for a number of areas including;
  • Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of technical and estates and building issues in the provision of construction, maintenance and FM services.
  • Assist in the management of commercial activities & ensure project company’s interests are protected.
  • Project-manage and resolve any facility related technical issues that arise.
  • Get involved in construction and facilities management (FM) issues that arise and provide technical advice with recommendations as required.
  • Ensure all subcontractors discharge their statutory and other obligations.
  • Undertake compliance audits on an agreed periodic basis and maintain the record of such audits.
  • Manage and audit the monthly performance management system (PMS) financials for hard and soft FM and any deductions arising.
  • Monitoring, auditing, and ensuring the statutory and contractual compliance of all services delivered by subcontractors for the company and consortium.
  • Supporting and representing the senior management in daily activities, actions and responsibilities, including production of papers, preparing for, leading and taking minutes in, meetings.
  • Monitoring the PFI contract obligations of subcontractors, and ensuring operations are run and communicated properly, in accordance with the project and financial agreements, and reasonable expectations of the clients.
  • Providing technical and commercial input. Building sustainable relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, users and service providers.
  • Supporting colleagues and contributing to the development and growth of the company.
  • Representing company and the project companies in general, and with specific respect to the relevant management services agreements.
  • Demonstrating safety leadership and ensuring there is a strong safety culture Maintain comprehensive project records.
  • Provide effective general management and administration to ensure the efficient operation, tracking and recording of projects.
  • Assist as the focal point and liaison for the discharge of selected obligations under the management services agreement (MSA).
  • Assist in the management of the supply chain and procurement of ad hoc services as required.
  • This includes the monitoring and quality control of subcontractors and suppliers and their contractual performance.
  • Prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly etc) reports in a timely manner, and assist senior management preparing and distributing board reports and share/stakeholders memorandums as necessary. Assist & work closely with the finance team to ensure delivery of services to the clients. Manage relationships at all levels.
  • Promote good relationships between all parties at all times.
  • Take responsibility for all relevant health and safety (H&S) issues in the facilities; ensure the working environment is conducive to good H&S practices; and observe the H&S policy. Monitoring supply chain H&S performance to ensure the discharge of their statutory obligations and obtaining reports as required.
  • Help identify any significant project risks and input into the project issues list and risk register.
  • Bring to the attention and advise senior management of any significant issues arising from audits carried out on service providers.
  • Assist in the management of any change in applicable laws via the project agreement mechanisms.
  • Manage any shareholder and/or senior funders information requests and/or interface with their technical advisors and assist with site visits.
  • Assist in the management of commercial activities & ensure project company’s interests are protected.
  • Project-manage and oversee the various work packages.
  • Act as duty holder’s representative on CDM projects and ensure close consultation and dialogue with principal designer and principal contractor.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with H&S, environmental, quality management and commercial requirements.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Contribute to sustainability and net zero targets, and lead where requested.
  • Understanding of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) obligations of the construction and FM industries.
  • Knowledgeable of the FM industry. Preferable - Experience of PFI healthcare (HC) project delivery;
  • Understanding of the relationship between client, SPV and service provider.
  • Proven record of leadership and management in service delivery.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines with excellent attention to detail Has a sound knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), and other relevant statutory requirements will be required
  • Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of technical and estates and building issues in the provision of construction, maintenance and FM services.
  • Good general understanding of the contractual structure and operations of PFI projects Holds a professional qualification in management or a related discipline, to degree level or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
