Vacancy for a Project Manager based in the Mid West.

Your new company

Our client is a well-established Architectural practice based in Galway, that is committed to excellence. They specialise in various projects, of all sizes, from conception to completion. They are seeking to recruit a Project Manager with a construction related degree to work on a variety of projects across Ireland. Candidates of various levels of experience will be considered. This position is permanent with an immediate start.

Your new role

This position would suit an individual with 7 or more years experience running their own projects. Experience working on large scale commercial, industrial and fitout projects. You will lead and coordinate projects from inception to completion. Excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to use initiative and have excellent problem solving abilities. Strong understanding of design principles and building regulations. Ability to read computer generated plans/layouts/drawings. Participate in presentations, site visits, client meetings, subcontractor meetings and other meetings. Provide advice, technical direction and on-the-job training to staff. Keep the Directors informed of all circumstances that could affect projects or clients.


What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline. You will have BCAR and contract administration experience. You will be proficient in Microsoft projects. Previous experience leading projects from conception through to completion, on industrial and commercial projects is an advantage. This practice largely uses AutoCAD and Revit. You will not be required to design but have the ability to read plans.
