Our client has specialised in the distribution transformers for almost half a century, they have a wealth of experience and cutting-edge knowledge of both engineering and manufacturing. You would be joining a company that provides distribution transformers and solutions to industry and utility companies with increasing specialisation in the renewable energy sector. They provide products that deliver useable energy to businesses, homes, hospitals, and industry every day.

Established in 1977, Our client is a privately owned enterprise which has enjoyed substantial double- digit growth in recent years, the company has grown through major expansions to become a market leader in the manufacture of bespoke, quality solutions for the electrical industry. The company designs, manufactures, markets, and supports its transformers from its base in Cavan.

Your new role
Our client is looking for a Project Manager to grow and develop within the company. This is a new role reporting directly to Head of Commercial and closely working with all divisions of the organisation.

The Project Manager will develop project plans which thoroughly explains and details how the project will be executed and include a, timeline, schedule, roles, and responsibilities among other things. This person will coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. Projects include customer projects, commercial sourcing, and other relevant projects.

This is an excellent opportunity that will report directly to the Head of Commercial but will require the successful candidate to work closely with departments across the business.

Responsibilities include; Coordinate internal and external communication for the flawless execution of projects. Manage commercial, technical, manufacturing, and other projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. Develop project scopes and objectives in conjunction with all relevant stakeholder and ensuring technical feasibility. Develop a detailed project plan for visibility of project and to track progress. Liaise fluently with Design, R&D, Supply Chain, and other departments.

Further tasks include setting an appropriate schedule for the development of deliverables, defining milestones, and highlighting the project dependencies. Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. Report and escalate to management as needed. Manage the relationship with the client, suppliers, and all stakeholders. Perform risk management to minimise project risks. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Conduct knowledge transfer and project post-mortem for lessons learned and improving best practices. Monitoring the status of projects. Track roadblocks and use problem solving techniques to remove.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will a proven track record in an Project Management role. For a dynamic, self-driven person who is enthusiastic and willing to learn in a forward-thinking atmosphere, this is an amazing opportunity. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of proven experience in project management. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Mechanical or Electrical, Design Engineering, Project Management (PMI) or other related field, or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment or manufacturing outsourcing environment. Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to prioritise. Previous project management experience and preferably with project management software experience. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills (across all stakeholders)

Top performers should have strong work ethic and be a self-starter. Analytical and detail orientated. Knowledge of project management techniques and principals. Experience with internal standards and quality conformance metrics. Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word Experience in applying problem-solving methodologies and tools to diagnose and solve operational and interpersonal problems.

Additional benefits include a pension, health insurance and car allowance. There is a requirement to work on-site and to travel for business. A full clean divers license is also a requirement.
