Key Responsibilities
The key responsibility of the role is to provide high quality project management services on a diverse range of electricity transmission and distribution projects. This includes responsibilities in relation to:
- Part of the team leading the project from development stage through construction and commissioning stages
- Manage the engineering design and delivery teams to ensure efficient delivery of projects
- Manage key internal and external stakeholders to align with project deliverables
- Develop project plans and estimates through discussions with all relevant partners.
- Proactively handle, supervise and report on the execution of deliverables and status in an effective manner across stakeholders including leadership
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and in line with safety principles and expectations.
- Lead all change requests including validating all budget and schedule impacts.
- Deliver the project in line with the client methodologies using available templates and technology.
- Five or more years’ experience in project management work.
- Experience with the application of project management principles
- Experience in project estimation and cost control, project planning
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management with Clients and ability to influence.
- Self-starter with ability to manage own work and support others within project team.
- Hold a full driving license and have access to a car.
- Ability to work with the Lead Project Manager to ensure coordination and prioritisation of multiple projects for the best outcome of the group
- Experience of working with geographically distributed teams
- Experience using project management tools such as Web based Project Management software and file storage systems
- Experience in leading or working with cross functional teams with a mixture of project resources including direct reports, contractors etc.
- Project Management Qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
- Engineering/construction related qualification, degree or other including work experience.
