This organisation are part of a global group and are a leading organisation providing energy solutions to their clients. The work across multiple industries such as infrastructure, data centres and utilities with their main clients being large blue-chip multinationals. The company in Ireland is growing with revenues set to increase dramatically over the next few years. Joining a project finance team of 4 people, this role will be responsible for all of the projects in one of their 3 divisions. Their head office is based in Dublin west but they are happy to consider fully remote working for this role or hybrid.

Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Business Controller, you will collaborate with Project Managers, Procurement and Engineering teams, maintaining monthly project cost and revenue forecasts. Duties include:

• Perform analysis of actual project costs vs budget and track variances on a monthly basis.
• Provide financial support to project teams across full project lifecycle
• Support Project Manager and the Project Team in all financial and commercial matters and actively drive operational and financial performance across a portfolio of assigned projects, drive and seek optimization of project revenues, profitability, cashflow contributing to the financial result of the business unit
• Support Tender Manager on financial aspects during tender stage including risk review process
• Support the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly project reviews including preparation of “at completion” estimates, cost-to-complete calculations, revenues, and cash flow forecasts. Contribute to opportunity/risk identification and monitor that all required actions are timely implemented
• Manage invoicing, currency risks and hedging, bonds and guarantees as well as tax matters with support from relevant departments
• Assure compliance with relevant financial accounting and reporting standards as well as internal control and compliance regulations
• Provide ad-hoc project related financial analysis and participate to relevant financial or transformation initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

• You will be a qualified accountant - CIMA/CPA/ACCA/ACA
• Experience in Project Controller or Management Accounting would be a plus
• Strong business partnering skills are needed.
• SAP project systems would be a plus
• You must be based in Ireland to be considered.
