You would be joining a company that provides distribution transformers and solutions to industry and utility companies with increasing specialisation in the renewable energy sector. Established in 1977, Our client is a privately owned enterprise which has enjoyed substantial double-digit growth in recent years, the company has grown through major expansions to become a market leader in the manufacture of bespoke, quality solutions for the electrical industry.
Your new role
Our client is looking for a Production Team Leader that is looking to grow and develop within the company. Ambition to learn and progress is essential. The role is fulltime on-site. This role will drive area improvements and personal growth of self and others. Our client wants to recruit the leaders of the future. The role of the Team leader is to ensure that their team operates to maximum efficiency and in line with production requirements always prioritising safety and quality. They will oversee people and production management in a safe, clean working environment. The role will operate on shift rotation (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm) or night shift (10pm – 6am) Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities include; Safety & Quality Mindset, Adherence to all relevant quality and Health and Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment and that housekeeping is in order, Critical thinking: Ability to follow production schedules and anticipate and solve problems as they arise, Drive and Planning, Ability to ensure production targets are met and exceeded in the area by organisation, timely material delivery and cross training for operational effectiveness, People Management is the main focus of this role. Motivation, engagement and communication of operators, monitoring Time and Attendance for payroll, holidays and acceptable levels, maintain discipline in safety and quality, Communication, Ability to effectively communicate with other departments, e.g. Design, Logistics, Quality, Shipping, Planning, Purchasing and Management to ensure all issues are dealt with in a timely manner and targets can be achieved.
What you'll need to succeed
Top performers should have 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, be able to track record in achieving targets. A keen understanding of the importance of safety, quality and on-time delivery is a must. Education to leaving cert or equivalent is essential with further training and development an advantage for this role. The candidate should be a natural communicator and influencers as well as forward thinking and solution focused.
