Our client is a dairy co-operative which sells dairy products on behalf of its members, Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers. It is Ireland’s largest exporter of Irish dairy products, exporting to 110 countries worldwide. Your new role

The Procurement Executive will have the responsibility for the strategy and execution of all site-related procurement activities in line with Corporate Procurement objectives.
The position will govern site duties related to the procurement of packaging, non-dairy ingredients, and any services for the production facility.
They will need to develop close working relationships with Corporate Procurement and Group Head of Packaging. The Procurement Executive will work as part of the commercial team and partner with other departments to ensure that cost initiatives are implemented efficiently. They will also work with in-market colleagues to ensure any new item procured is commercialised efficiently through the supply chain.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in management, business, supply chain or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years Industry experience in procurement or similar role.
  • Broad knowledge of purchasing & inventory control methods, principles and practices.
  • Effective negotiation & communication skills.
  • Experience in vendor management and data analysis.
  • Strong customer service, vendor relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated proficiency in Excel (Able to work with pivot tables, use lookup formulas, etc.).
  • ERP System Experience.
