Your new role
As the Person in Charge (PIC), you will be joining a supportive leadership team on a permanent basis on one of their Cork sites. Your day-to-day duties will include Carrying out assessments as required on people referred to the services, you will also need to ensure that each service user has access to medical treatment as and when required. High levels of respect and always develop internal and external professional relationships. You will ensure to always ensure that the numbers of staff and skill mix are appropriate to the assessed needs of the service users and abide by the internal and external communication and reporting requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed as the Person in Charge (PIC) you will need A degree in Applied Social Studies or something similar. Hold or willing to complete a post registration management qualification in health or a related field. 3+ years’ experience in management and experience working across intellectual disabilities with both adults and children. Finally, you will need knowledge of children first, FOI, GDPR, Disability Act and other legislation (knowledge of HIQA standard is preferred).
