Maintenance technician required for a global leading semi conductor manufacturer in Kildare.


Your new company
This client is leading global company of innovative semiconductor and flat panel display production equipment. Since 1963, they have committed to the newest advancements in technology, providing innovative tools and always supporting our global customers as a Trusted Partner. They now operate in 9 countries with over 500 employees and believe their people are central to their success. They are now looking for maintenance technicians to join their team on a permanent basis based onsite at Intel, Leixlip.

Your new role
In your new role, you will provide high quality service and installation support across numerous customers within the region. You will be responsible for building and maintaining semiconductor machines. You will carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on the machines and use problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve unscheduled equipment and inline process issues. You will also support other colleagues as required to contribute to continuous improvement methods. A positive team-working approach and adherence to Safety Policies and Procedures is essential. This role is based on a monthly rotating shift pattern.

What you'll need to succeed

A degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, automation engineering or equivalent is required and some post degree experience in a relevant industry. Alternatively, an electrical trade qualification with relevant experience is also desirable. Desirable industry experience includes semiconductors, furnace, aeronautical or automotive but successful candidates will receive full training required to fulfil the role. Strong analytical skills, ability to work as part of a team, high attention to detail and organisation skills are of benefit in this role and a high level of interpersonal and self-presentation skills are needed. The positions require a high level of flexibility and may involve international travel.
