An international manufacturing and construction group based in Co. Carlow with 135 employees. This company is a leading exporter in their field to the UK and has been rapidly growing over the last 5 years. With that growth comes this newly created Management Accountant role in their finance team.
This role will initially be more office based until you learn the business (approx 3 months) and then hybrid working will be available of 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office. They are a flexible organisation and as you progress, your flexibility to work from home can also increase.
Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will assist across the whole finance function including cost accounting, management accounting and fp&a.
Your duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Preparing and posting journals
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Assisting with the statutory audit process on an annual basis
- Analysing costs and carrying out variance analysis on standard costing
- Calculating inventory provisions and write offs
- Preparing year end financial accounts
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- KPI reporting
- Income expenditure reporting
- Supporting the Finance Director as required and liaising with other departments
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience as a Financial or Management accountant in a manufacturing company, experience in a construction related business with contractors also. In terms of qualification, a fully qualified accountant is preferred for this role but a candidate who is qualified by experience may also be suitable.
Experience with Sage 200 is desired.
You will be happy to work in the office full time for the initial training period of 3 - 6 months.
Any experience with supervising a team would be beneficial as you may assist the FD with managing the AR.AP team members.
What you'll get in return
